Hawthorne Race Course Simulcast Signal Going HD In 2019
With the first gap in the racing calendar in over two years, the television crew at Hawthorne Race Course will remain busy as Hawthorne will be converting to High Definition for its racing coverage. Hawthorne Race Course will be partnering with International Sound Corporation to make this conversion. The conversion to high-def will begin immediately following the end of the fall/winter Thoroughbred meet on Jan. 12. The 8-10 week changeover will include the conversion of all of the current television cameras at Hawthorne. Additionally, cameras will be added in the paddock, providing additional footage for the racing fan.
