Fonner Park defends historical horse racing as state turns to court to stop it

The future of horse racing in Nebraska may be decided in a courtroom as Fonner Park makes the case for a new way to wager, while the state attempts to stop them. “There's no doubt the attorney general threw a monkey wrench into things,” said Chris Kotulak, Fonner Park CEO. Doug Peterson is suing the track and the Racing Commission that authorized Fonner to install historical horse racing machines, a new way to wager on old races.
