Horse racing anti-doping bill attains majority support in US House of Representatives

Distances can be deceiving in politics, but the Horseracing Integrity Act is now, ostensibly, halfway home. Though the U.S. House of Representatives was preoccupied with its impeachment vote Wednesday, racing’s reform advocates celebrated a milestone in reaching a majority with the 218th cosponsor for a bill that would create a national anti-doping authority independent of existing industry regulators.
